📝 Onboarding FAQ

What types of wallets do you support?

We currently support Bitcoin Core and Bitcoin Knots Sparrow, Wasabi wallets and other wallets that store password and passphase into a local file.

What’s the first step?

Email us at recovery@tedlee.ca with a brief description of your situation. We'll reply with a secure intake form and KYC requirements.

What documents do I need to provide?

You'll need a government-issued ID, proof of ownership (e.g., transaction history or address control), and consent to verification procedures.

Are my funds safe during recovery?

Absolutely. We do not take custody of your assets. Our recovery process focuses on restoring access securely and transparently, with documentation of all actions taken.

Do you charge a fee up front?

No. Our model is commission-based — payment is only due if recovery is successful. The fee structure will be shared clearly during onboarding.

What is your contingency fee structure?

Our commission depends on the total step amount of Bitcoin successfully recovered, and is payable in Bitcoin:

This ensures fair compensation for our time, computing resources, and recovery expertise.

What if my account is linked to an exchange?

We’ll assess your account type and may refer you to your exchange’s support team if direct wallet recovery isn’t possible.

Do you comply with Canadian law?

Yes. We comply with the PCMLTFA and operate under FINTRAC registration as a Money Services Business. All clients must complete KYC and AML verification prior to recovery.

Are recovery resources limited?

Since we operate on a commission-only basis, our recovery team must manage computational resources based on service demand. As such, we may not be able to assist with every case immediately or guarantee acceptance of every request. We prioritize eligible clients based on legal compliance, verifiable ownership, and technical feasibility.
